Description

PDLLA-PEG-NH2 (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-Amine) can be used to fabricate drug delivery systems such as nanoparticles, micelles, or hydrogels. These systems can encapsulate therapeutic agents, protect them from degradation, and control their release kinetics. The presence of PEG improves the circulation time of nanoparticles by reducing opsonization and clearance by the immune system, while the terminal amino group allows for facile conjugation of targeting ligands or drugs.
