Description

PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) is employed in tissue engineering to fabricate scaffolds that mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) and provide structural support for cell growth and tissue regeneration. The biodegradable PDLLA segments degrade gradually, facilitating tissue integration and remodeling, while the PEG segments improve scaffold biocompatibility and cell adhesion. These scaffolds are used in applications such as bone regeneration, cartilage repair, and vascular tissue engineering.
