PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) can self-assemble into micelles in aqueous environments, where the hydrophobic PDLLA blocks form the core, and the hydrophilic PEG blocks form the shell. These micelles can encapsulate hydrophobic drugs in their core, providing a stable and biocompatible delivery system. Additionally, the PEG shell can impart stealth properties to the micelles, prolonging their circulation time in the bloodstream.
