PDLLA-PEG-PDLLA (Poly(D,L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(D,L-lactide)) can be processed into porous scaffolds or hydrogels for tissue engineering applications. The biodegradable PLA segments provide mechanical strength and structural integrity to the scaffold, while the hydrophilic PEG segments enhance biocompatibility and cell adhesion. These scaffolds can mimic the extracellular matrix and support cell growth, proliferation, and tissue regeneration, making them suitable for applications in bone, cartilage, skin, and cardiovascular tissue engineering.
