Description

Plain Natural Brain PS Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are lipid vesicles predominantly composed of phosphatidylserine derived from natural brain sources. Phosphatidylserine is a glycerophospholipid characterized by a glycerol backbone, two fatty acid chains esterified at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, and a phospho-L-serine headgroup attached to the sn-3 position. Brain PS liposomes serve as model membranes for studying the biophysical and biochemical properties of biological membranes, particularly those of neuronal cells. In addition, PS is known to interact with specific proteins such as annexins, synaptotagmins, and protein kinases. These liposomes help elucidate such interactions.
