Plain Natural Soy PC:Cholesterol Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are a stable drug delivery system with numerous applications in pharmaceuticals, gene therapy, diagnostics, cosmetics, and vaccine development. Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is a phospholipid that consists of a glycerol backbone, a choline headgroup, and two fatty acid tails. Soybean-derived phosphatidylcholine contains a mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, with a significant amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids (such as linoleic acid and linolenic acid), which contribute to the membrane’s fluidity and flexibility. The inclusion of cholesterol in these liposomes enhances their structural integrity, reduces their permeability to small molecules, and helps the liposomes maintain their stability under different environmental conditions such as temperature and pH fluctuations.
