Plain Unsaturated 16:0-18:1 PC (POPC) Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are a commonly used class of liposomes made from a mixture of 16:0 (palmitic acid) and 18:1 (oleic acid) fatty acids incorporated into a phosphatidylcholine (PC) backbone. The 16:0 (saturated) and 18:1 (unsaturated) fatty acid combination provides a balance between rigidity (16:0) and fluidity (18:1).
