Plain Unsaturated 18:0-18:2 PC Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder can encapsulate antibacterial or antifungal agents for controlled release. This formulation is particularly useful in treating infections caused by biofilms, as liposomes can more easily penetrate these protective structures and release their payload. Amphotericin B (used for fungal infections) or gentamicin (used for bacterial infections) can be encapsulated within the liposome, offering better stability and reduced toxicity compared to free drug formulations.
