Plain Unsaturated 18:2 (Cis) PC (DLPC): Cholesterol Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder consist of dioleoylphosphatidylcholine (DLPC), a phospholipid with two cis-unsaturated 18-carbon fatty acid chains (oleic acid), and cholesterol, which is commonly used to modulate membrane fluidity and stability. The unsaturated fatty acid chains in DLPC make the bilayer more fluid and less tightly packed compared to liposomes made with saturated phospholipids. These liposomes are often used in studies related to membrane dynamics, drug delivery, and formulation of biomaterials due to their unique properties of increased membrane flexibility and permeability.
