Description

PLGA-PEG-IA (Poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide)-b-Poly(ethylene glycol)-Iodolacetyl) is a block copolymer which is reactive with thiol (SH) to form a stable thioether linkage. The polymer can self-assemble in water with poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) core and PEG shell arrangement. The core regions can serve as reservoir for hydrophobic drugs while the shell regions not only provide protection from degradation (enzymatic or hydrolysis) but also enables a stealth behavior for successful in vivo translation of nanomedicine. LA/GA molar ratio will be 1:1 with no request. Specified molecular weight and molecular ratio may be offered by custom synthesis. Please contact us for more details.
