Description

PLGA-PEG-Mannose (Poly(lactide-co-glycolide)-b-Poly(ethylene glycol)-Mannose (Mannosamide)) can be designed for targeted drug delivery to these cells. This approach is useful in applications where the selective delivery of therapeutic agents to immune cells is desired. Mannose is recognized by mannose receptors on the surface of certain cells, particularly macrophages and dendritic cells of the immune system. Additionally, targeting immune cells using mannose could be particularly relevant in anti-inflammatory applications. The copolymer might be designed to deliver anti-inflammatory agents selectively to immune cells involved in inflammatory processes. LA/GA molar ratio will be 1:1 with no request.
