Description

PLLA-mPEG (Poly(L-lactide)-PEG-methyl ether) can be used to modify the surfaces of medical devices to improve biocompatibility and reduce fouling. Coating medical implants with PLLA-mPEG films or hydrogels can prevent protein adsorption, cell adhesion, and bacterial attachment, reducing the risk of infection and inflammation. These copolymers can also be employed in contact lenses, catheters, and other biomedical devices to enhance biocompatibility and functionality.
