Description

Poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) (PLL HCL) has been used to coat glass slides and coverslips to facilitate cell attachment. Poly-lysine with mol. wt. >70,000 is useful in promoting cell adhesion to solid substrates. Poly-L-lysine is considered as a biocompatible polymer and serves for the purpose of drug delivery across cell membrane. It is useful as one of the nanosized contrast agents in MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).
