Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-butylacrylate) (polyNIPAM-BA) is a copolymer composed of two different monomers: N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) and butyl acrylate (BA). The thermoresponsive nature of P(NIPAM-co-BA) makes it suitable for drug delivery systems. It can be used to create drug-loaded nanoparticles or hydrogels that release drugs in response to changes in temperature, such as those found in the human body. This is advantageous for controlled and targeted drug delivery.
