Description

Poly(Nepsilon-carbobenzoxy-L-lysine) (P-Nε-Cbz-L-lysine) is a linear polymer made from the amino acid lysine. This polymer is derived by attaching a carbobenzoxy (Z) group to the amino group (NH2) of lysine residues. The Z group is a protecting group commonly used in peptide synthesis and organic chemistry. Z-Lysine is often used as a starting material in peptide synthesis. The protective Z group can be selectively removed to reveal the amino group when needed for further reactions.
