Polystyrene A HMPA (Aminoethyl Polystyrene functionalized with a 4-(hydroxymethyl)-phenoxyacetic acid linker) is used to functionalize surfaces, such as those of nanoparticles, beads, or other solid supports. By attaching biomolecules like proteins, nucleic acids, or small molecules to the hydroxymethyl group of the linker, the resin can be employed in applications such as biosensors, immunoassays, and targeted drug delivery systems.
