Description

Polystyrene Triphenylphosphine consists of a polystyrene backbone with triphenylphosphine groups (Ph3P) attached to the polymer chain via a covalent bond. PS-TPP can be used as a ligand in palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki, Heck, and Stille reactions. The triphenylphosphine ligands coordinate to the palladium center, promoting the reaction of organic halides with nucleophiles. PS-TPP can also be used in ligand-exchange reactions, where it serves as a source of triphenylphosphine for the preparation of metal-phosphine complexes. The resin-bound phosphine can be exchanged with other ligands in metal complexes, facilitating the synthesis of new catalysts or organometallic compounds.
