Description

Protein G Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (Iron Oxide (II,III), Fe3O4, Magnetite) consist of iron (Fe) and oxygen (O) atoms, forming magnetite (Fe3O4). The surface of these nanoparticles is coated with Protein G molecules. Protein G has a high affinity for the Fc region of various antibodies, including IgG from different species. Protein G-coated iron oxide nanoparticles can specifically bind to antibodies, facilitating various immunological applications. They can also be employed in targeted drug delivery systems, where antibodies conjugated to the nanoparticles facilitate drug delivery to specific cells or tissues.
