Description

PS-based Fluoroliposome-DiO-DBCO, Lyophilized Powder combines phosphatidylserine (PS)-based liposomes, DiO fluorescence, and DBCO functionalization. PS liposomes are uniquely effective for targeting immune cells, such as macrophages and dendritic cells. PS exposure on the outer membrane of liposomes is recognized by phosphatidylserine receptors (PSRs) on these cells, facilitating cellular uptake and targeting. PS-based liposomes also exploit the Enhanced Permeability and Retention (EPR) effect, which enhances the accumulation of liposomes in tumor tissues. DiO is a lipophilic fluorescent dye used for tracking the distribution and uptake of liposomes in vivo. Its green fluorescence enables real-time visualization of liposome behavior and biodistribution, allowing researchers to monitor the efficacy of treatments. DBCO (Dibenzocyclooctyne) enables bioorthogonal conjugation using the strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reaction.
