Description

Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) is derived from graphene oxide (GO) through a reduction process, which involves the removal or reduction of oxygen-containing functional groups from the graphene oxide structure. This reduction step helps restore some of the properties of pristine graphene, such as improved electrical conductivity and a reduced bandgap. One of the primary advantages of rGO over GO is its enhanced electrical conductivity. The reduction process reduces the number of oxygen groups, allowing for better charge transport through the material. rGO can be used to produce flexible and transparent conductive films. These films find applications in flexible electronics, touchscreens, and other transparent conductor applications. rGO is also investigated for use in biomedical applications, including drug delivery systems and imaging.
