Description

Surface Reactive Doxorubicin Liposomes-Carboxylic Acid (PEGylated), Lyophilized Powder is significantly used in cancer treatment. These liposomes can deliver doxorubicin in a more targeted and controlled manner, reducing toxicity and enhancing the drug’s efficacy against tumors. In addition, surface-reactive liposomes can be designed to co-encapsulate other therapeutic agents, such as small molecule inhibitors, RNA-based therapies (e.g., siRNA), or immunotherapeutic agents. This allows for combination therapy, where multiple drugs can act synergistically to improve treatment outcomes. Carboxylic acid (-COOH) groups are present on the surface of the liposome, either as part of the lipid composition or as part of a specific surface-modifying agent. Doxorubicin, being hydrophobic, is confined within the liposomal bilayer, ensuring that it is protected from degradation and providing a controlled release mechanism.
