Description

T-ZnOw-SiO2-N3 refers to a composite material consisting of tetrapod-shaped zinc oxide whiskers (T-ZnOw) functionalized with silica (SiO2) and azide groups (-N3). Tetrapod-Shaped Zinc Oxide Whiskers (T-ZnOw) provides a robust nanostructure with high surface area and unique electronic and optical properties. The tetrapod shape enhances light scattering and absorption, making T-ZnOw useful in applications like photovoltaics and sensors. Due to the excellent optical properties of ZnO, T-ZnOw-SiO₂-N3 can be used in optoelectronic devices, such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), solar cells, and photodetectors. The silica coating improves the compatibility of T-ZnOw with different device architectures, while the azide groups allow for the attachment of various organic or inorganic molecules that can enhance light absorption, charge transport, or stability.
