Description

TCO-TTP (Trans-cyclooctene modified thymidine triphosphate) is a modified nucleoside triphosphate that incorporates a trans-cyclooctene (TCO) group into the thymidine nucleotide. TTP is a nucleotide consisting of thymidine (a pyrimidine base) linked to a ribose sugar and three phosphate groups. In TCO-TTP, the TCO group is attached to the thymidine base or the ribose sugar, depending on the specific design. TCO-TTP can be incorporated into nucleic acids during synthesis, allowing for site-specific labeling of DNA or RNA. The TCO group can then react with tetrazine-containing probes to enable specific and efficient labeling of nucleic acids. This modification is also useful for imaging and tracking nucleic acids within cells or tissues, providing valuable information about nucleic acid localization, interactions, and dynamics.
