UV Cleavable Biotin-PEG2-Azide is useful in spatial and temporal control experiments, where precise timing or location-specific activation is desired. The UV cleavable linker allows for controlled release or activation of biotinylated molecules upon exposure to UV light. Besides, biotinylated molecules can be easily purified using streptavidin-coated magnetic beads or columns. After purification, the UV cleavable linker enables the release of biotinylated molecules from streptavidin under UV light, providing a versatile tool for protein purification and isolation.
