UV-Tracer Biotin-Maleimide is a derivative of biotin that contains a maleimide group, which specifically reacts with thiol (-SH) groups on proteins. This selective reaction makes it ideal for labeling proteins that have free cysteine residues. UV-Tracer Biotin-Maleimide labels proteins at cysteine residues, enabling site-specific biotinylation.
